Yeah, you've got to love topics which are reposts of earlier topics with no difference in purpose.

I dont like the nominations myself though

Not many threads were nominated, but if you disliked the nominations you could have nominated threads yourself:

Violet: This poll is not about the thread's start post but about the thread's content as a whole, so it goes farther than if something is just a repost. Imo there is very interesting content in the thread and that's why I nominated it.
