You probably didn't use an animation for it.
Make an animation (I assume you know how) which uses the following frames: -the tile which looks like the destruct scenery before it is shot -the tile which appears after the block is shot -the tile of which pieces will fall down once you shot the destruct block To make destruct scenery which needs to be shot multiple times, add more frames, for example showing the countdown or scratches or whatever comes to your mind. This is all covered in Violet's article by the way, in which he explains it a lot better than me. =P
