Silly Question - 1.23 , 1.24

This may seem like a n00b question, but ive been gone for a couple 'o years and, people seem to be playing on 1.23 servers, WHY! Is 1.24 bugged or something?
Or do you guys just hate Lori? Now i have to use a special program to convert 1.24 to 1.23, and people in online games suddenly get weird sprites.

I think it had to do with the people. Those in 1.23 were more competitive and those in 1.24 were more n00bish. Hence, everyone left 1.24, even the n00bs.

Abandonware is illegal. The administrators don't like us talking about it here, for obvious reasons. Plus, buying 1.24 is hard for most of the world, as it was really only available in Europe.

You live in the netherlands, where it was possible to get 1.24. The majority of the 1.23 people live in America where it's not possible.

If one of us had a button to make a legal copy of 1.24 appear next to the keyboard of everybody who only has 1.23, I'm pretty sure it would be pushed.
