Question How To Make NEW Events?

hi there,

i've downloaded some tilesets for Agama, and really no words to say..Thats Great

But I thraw this question to Agama herself : How did you make new events? I mean something like keys and doors whitch open when I get close to them, and periodic events that happen frequently.. I wonder could yyou tell me how to do this?

Another thing is sounds, can I insert sounds into the game like lightning sound?

Thank you very much and hope you answer my questions

Greetings

If you don't mind I'll answer this. I'm not sure if Agama reads these boards at all, and she definitely does not post frequently here.

1. You can make keys/door switches using trigger zones and trigger crates. See this tutorial.
2. Frequently occuring "events" are either done using generators for existing events, or animations for tiles.
3. You cannot import ambient sounds. Here's a list of currently existing ambient sounds.

It is not possible to make your own new events as in new things in the game that weren't there before. You can only create tilesets and work with what jcs has to offer you. There's no functionality to extend jcs right now.

You can't easily make custom sounds that activate after triggering something, but you can add sound effects to the mod track you want your level to use. A good example of this is Ninja Dodo's the Lost World episode.

Well , thanx Fquist and BlurredD for answering

but I just tried to find the Trigger Zone event in jcs and it's not found, is that related with the version?

For example, I opened the level Heaven in my JCS and found an event written(DON'T USE) and when I tried to open it in the event manager there was no event but written (EMPTY) instead

THAT MEANS I ALWAYS CHECK B4 PUTTING A QUESTION, BRIDIE

You need the newer JCS.ini . I'll get you the link in a minute.

http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/dow...hp?levelID=105Trigger zones added, and, if you have The Secret Files (Jazz 1.24) you can use the Cristmas enemies. Although I have no idea now how to make the Pillow Ghost (Also Jazz 1.24) appear... :\ I'll get you that one too...

Okay, first install the JCS.ini file into your Jazz2 folder. Then, open it and copy+paste this line, overwriting line 253:

Quote:
253=Pillow Ghost (CrimiClown) >) |-|Enemy |Pillow |Ghost
That's all.

Oh yeah, Pillow Ghost will only show up in TSF or CC, also known as Jazz 1.24 and Jazz 1.24x

The pillow ghost can as far as I know be activated by MCEs. Don't ask me how though.

Most other baddies of the game can be created with MCEs, so the Pillow Ghost can be too, theoretically.

So? What would you rather have? A $30,000 sportscar? Or the plank on wheels your kid neighbour made?

Yes? Get it? Good.
