Anyone heard of this before?--
randomly when I play jj2 my system reboots...
only when I'm playing jj2 fullscreen. I don't know why... could it be my SMP?

Try getting the latest version of/reinstalling DirectX and see if it happens then.

I had this problem before, too. Download the latest drivers for your video card. If that doesn't solve it, download the latest version of DirectX (v 9.0c)

I have DX9, and I think I have the latest video too...
SMP is symmetric multiprocessing. ( 2+ cpus in the same comp.)

Do you get a BSOD, or just a reboot? If you're not sure, check the System event log.

I had a similar problem a while ago. At first I thought it was a reboot, but I later figured that it was actually a stop error telling me that my ram modules suck, however the PC rebooted too fast for me to see it. It was only after I had disabled the reboot that I was able to see the error.
