What happened to the JJ2 Bonus Levels?
I just wonder why there isn't at least one bonus level in JJ2. The song is still in the folders and with some programs you can even see some of the 'forgoten' animation that no longer exist within the game. It would be good if someway it will someday make it to the features. What do you think?

JJ2 was rushed to the extreme, it's common knowledge. There was an old list on J2C prior to JJ2's release that listed features we were supposed to get. Among others, we were to get 42 levels, 30 enemies, and fifteen bosses.

JJ2 levels in 3D would be great! Imagine a race in 3D... Or a treasure hunt, or a test, or even a battle! Shouldn't us be able to decompile, edit and compile the 3D bonus levels?

I don't think they actually exist, just the sprites and music do.

A) It wouldn't be Multiplayer B) It wouldn't even have shooting and C) All you're doing is running around through time trying to collect enough gems to amass a 1up or so. Just take JJ1's bonus levels, spruce them up graphically and musically, and toss in Time Travel elements/effects. Bake for 5 minutes, and then let it cool for 3. Boom- JJ2 Bonus level. |

Yes, there should have been bonus levels, but not many of the world's 'should've's actually happen.

Ok Pako, I was telling you how it would end up if JJ2 Bonus levels were actually programmed by Arjan and Michael, not how they would be programmed in some namby-pamby fantasy land where the JJ community has time to make all the animations and code everything needed to actually create their own internal bonus levels, because there sure as hell ain't any code in JJ2 right now for them.

I found the list. It shows you what they were going to put in JJ2. It was actually comparing JJ2 to another game, Claw (for those you who don't know, when JJ2 was being made there was another game like JJ2 that was being made by a company called Monolith). |

Actually, the list is right. However, I'm not sure about the attacks (and bosses are obviously wrong).

Even though the list is wrong, JJ2 still had 9 working bosses (animations for 10) which is still more than Claw's. Also on attacks, each character has 12 ammo types and 2 melee attacks (Ok, so Double Jump and Copterearing aren't really "attacks" since they can't harm anything) |

Read the topic. I asked the same question and WaterRabbit answered it.
