Concerning locked polls.
Serves no use, in my opinion, at all.

If it isn't too much of a hassle, I would like to see this feature removed for ordinary users.

Issue resolved in #jj2. This is not something that regularly occurs, but confusion arose over a closed thread in General Jazz Talk (which was done by an admin, not an user, and wasn't a closed poll).
