Rudimental
Not much, just portraits of the JJ2 team. There are still lots of things to fix and no background, but I'm too lazy
![]() This one took me 3 hours... Well, first time ![]() ![]() This one was quite easier after I had done the first ![]() This one was the easiest, since her body resembled a standard human female's. ![]() That's all for now, but more will be coming when my finals are over ![]() P/S: I enjoy drawing figures and currently I want to improve my skills on Paint (or even PS if I have time), so if anyone is interested and thinks I'm good enough, give me the work. I'll be sure to report my work ASAP ![]() |

Hmm, those are actually quite nice, especially if you made them without guidelines...
I expect that in a little, a guy called Radium will pop inside here and give you lengthy comments on all pictures in detail, so just rest assured that they are quite good and only show some anatomical deficiencies that could easily be solved with guidelines. PS: Spaz's mouth is awesome.

You guys take all the fun out of this D=. I was waiting for everyone to say "lol ur awesome" so I could look superior to them for giving actual criticism. Or for Faw to try to help you, so I could talk about how he was wrong.
Well, Mr. Spectro, first I'd like to say you are very talented and on a great start. You have no problem with drawing things from obscure angles and you seem to know anatomy well enough that you can make drawings that don't look "wrong". The only real thing that could be improved much is how you stick to straight lines. In an organic drawing, having too many things that are vertical or horizontal looks unnatural. For example, the way both of Jazz's forearms go straight up/down, or Lori's whole arm and gun is a perfect horizontal line. Try to tilt stuff a bit more, to make it seem more real or 3D. There's one big problem you are having, however. Let me give an artistic suggestion: don't use Paint. If you want to draw things directly into your computer, use Illustrator. People only use Paint when they want to show off how good they can draw with bad software. Paint makes jagged, blocky lines and has no layers and stuff. I pasted Lori into Illustrator and pressed "Live Trace": ![]() The line quality is a lot better when converted to vectors. The lines are smoother and looks like you drew them with an actual pen, with ink. It'll also let you make little adjustments very quickly, probably cutting that 3 hours down into 30 minutes. Or, if you don't have Illustrator, use Photoshop. It's good too, but best used for shading/touchups after you make an inked drawing in Illustrator or on paper.

Don't hate me for this...
The GIMP also has some good features, but I'm not sure if it's compatible with a tablet... |

Lori and her two brothers will make another appearance, and I promise they'll look cooler
![]() Anyways, I have to give my deepest thanks to Radium. I didn't know there was such a nice tool like Illustrator, not to mention the professional critique. Really look forward to learning from you ![]() ![]() |
