An old friend...

I tried a new sort of... shading for silhouettes. I think it turned out rather nice.

His fingers look really strange and flat, plus the shadow doesn't help. Try drawing the remainder of the finger behind the already visible portion.

Hands and fingers have always been a problem for me... I ought to find a drawing lesson on those...

I agree with strato, and the pokeball seems a little bit too big for his hand...

Hands are pretty akward to draw, especially with natural gestures. To help, think of the muscles underneath the hand, and try and show them working. In a relaxed stance, give little tension et cetera. The Pokeball could have a neat DEATH GRIP which shows major flexing beneath the flesh.

Also, don't shade everything you draw with pure black. Right now, you need practice, and hiding portions of your drawings won't help you. Once you get better, experiment with high contrast shading like that.

At first, I wanted to make it a complete silhouette. Only later I came up with the idea to colour only the lit edges... it's experimental, anyway, but thanks for the tips.

You should add a line of light to the fingertops, so you can see the difference between the pokeball and the fingertops. I also think the shadows are too straight and unnatural.

First I need to say - Congratulations, you're definately improving.

But you need to stop covering everything up you can't draw, with intensive shadow. You need to start trying to draw that you choose to leave out by using shadow all the time.

It's not that I 'cannot' draw it, I just wanted to make a silhouette because those rock. And thanks.
