Question Levels for the Ladder

ok i give you some time to suggest levels that would be used in the upcoming ladder program for three types of games:
  • Solo (1 on 1)
  • Team (2 on 2)
  • Team (3 on 3)

type out explanations, try and be as much specific as you can.

What about to just add all levels from previous AB's from 5 to 8?
And maybe also some other ones too, or just the levels from upcoming AB9, because I think the ladder won't be ready before April.

More different levels can help people not to get too quickly bored with playing the ladder.

Conversely, too many levels can make some people not bother playing.

1vs1 levels:

BBlair
Semi
BBswing
Distopia
Elcas

If someone wants to play battle then b1

For teamplay nearly any playable level is fine.

So you're saying Elcas is playable? ;p

Anyway, any pretty small level is good for 1vs1 but Elcas is too small. I suggest All Your Base CTF at least. And Toxin Twister was picked for this as well I think. Dunno about the other levels.

For solo:

BBlair - I guess it's just clear that this level is handy for all amount of players, and the duels should be the most exciting ones.
Bleached Diamondus - This is a level that tests the cunning side of players in duels, it's sort of small and fits quite only for duels(reminds me about the map 'Plunder Isle' in WC3 ROC that is the only map in the solo-pool made only for 2 players)
Happy Semiconductor - Offers multiple ways for domination over duels, lets players improvise a lot, really
Knightmare Castle - This one should be definitely for duels since the bases become hard to exit with more players. Also there are simple solo-tactics to dominate this one over your opponent
Sanctuary - Not completely sure about this one but it could be added into the pool for a tentative trial
SILWI - This one is a good duel-level especially for those who prefer being Jazz and don't mind warp-pits

Suggesting rest later...

I'd like to nominate Cavern CTF: SE...

Because it's a good level all around. Not too demmed much eyecandy to spoil gameplay.

Why does a ladder need a mappool anyway?
