Disable Smilies In Post

I keep looking for an option to disable smilies when I'm making a post, but that option never seems to exist. Can it be added? Or is it just hiding from me?

It exists for me. It's the third checkbox in Miscellaneous Options, underneath the Submit Reply button.

It doesn't exist in quick reply, though.

There's no permission relating to that option, nor is it within a conditional statement in the template. I'm stumped. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Ok, so here's what's going on.

If you use the "Basic Editor" in your UserCP->Edit Options (http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/profi...do=editoptions) then you don't get that option for some reason. This appears to be a vB thing as I found some mention of this problem on another forum when I searched for it. Change your editor to be the "Standard Editor" at the bottom of the above page and that should fix it.

That's lame. Thanks for figuring it out at least, Bob. I don't think I'm interested in it enough to switch to the bulky editor right now. At least I know what it is now. It'd be nice if someone could hack a fix for it while we're waiting for vBulletin to fix it.
