So, half a year ago, fate wanted me to meet Fawriel on the peer of Holwerd (North Netherlands). He was there to take the boat on a holiday to Ameland, and like, I met him. So I shot him... many pictures of him, that is.
... now I don't have the pictures at the moment (I'm in dire need for a scanner), but here's a drawing I managed to make and get on my pc properly. Oh, and he's wearing my jacket. It was cold... ![]() And... in the same style, I managed to draw a French bum in New York I've been dreaming about... Pierre. ![]() |

Faw turned out well; you've never had any problems with observational art. Well, one thing I don't like: his nose. The rest of the picture looks like you drew it based on what you saw, but with his nose you just kind of said "I'll draw an upside-down seven!". Try not to descend to the type of drawing that thinks of a nose as a rotated 7, or an eyes as a sideways (); you can do better than that.
As for Le Bum, I agree with Xobim about the eyes. The picture is made confusing by the fact that they don't even look much like eyes, though that's due to their positioning as much as their shape. I'd either move them further up, to a more eyelike place, or make them eye-shaped. It depends what aspect of them you want to emphasize to characterize the frenchman: their position or their form.

Just because he has no friends and takes it out on others smaller than him to look good. I can see in the parrats eyes that it does however have a understanding of the gray bird man and is upset about getting cut."</i> - Speeza on cartoon birds. |

I think repositioning the French fellow's mouth would make the eyes look more like a stylistic way of drawing large but lidded eyelids, which seems like what he was going for. The mouth makes the nose look strange, and then by extension the eyes become even more odd looking than they probably were meant to be.
