Jazz 3 - Vehicles
So i was on the computer earlier, and i got bored so i did my usual screwing around with programs until i find something cool. I ended up finding an unfinished JJ3 level with a surfboard that jazz can actually steer and go down a semi-complete rapids with water actually pushing him along. It was quite fun but ive never heard of it before or even any vehicles in JJ3. anyone seen it before or have any comments?

I found that level a long while ago. They probably tried to implement the airboard from previous jazz games into jj3 and ended up with the experimental level you saw. I actually doubt they were going to make the airboard fly at all.

You doubted wrong, theres a completely wonky flying airboard in the JazzEd along with a hangglider, a car, and a spaceship.
EDIT- Although the car has no model so when you drive it, its just a 2d pawn sprite. |

How do you open JazzEd? when i do it says:
COMCTL32.ocx not correct registered: file missing or invalid and has anyone found any ingame console commands besides "say Last edited by plunK; Oct 18, 2008 at 11:52 AM. |

Well first you would need COMCTL32.ocx and then a host of other files.
I think these are all of them, just put these in your JJ3 system folder. Most of the vehicles can be found under Inventory-Pickup-JazzItem-JazzVehicle. Note that the running shoes do not work, and do not bring up anything if you place them in a stage so I dont count them. The car thing I think can be found under Pawn-PlayerPawn-JazzPlayer and I think is "JazzRVehicle" Theres also a large stash of unused weapon cells like "medieval cell"(Fires arrows I think) "stone cell"(Turns anything in the aim reticle into stone, even Jazz) and "sound cell"(Pushes back enemies into the air) and more. A few are really unstable and can crash the game. These are all found under Inventory-Pickup-JazzItem-JazzWeaponCells. |

Thanks i got it working now
It appears they were planning an aquatic level. Theres a Pump cell which when used has a bouy float attached to a hose that floats to the top of the level. None of the cells crashed my game though, every one was usable but only the normal, pump, fire and ice had animations. The rest did effects but you couldn't see the bullet, and the Lightning has shield coding, and the lightning and bubble cells have a shield instead of a small cell. Although my cell firing modes done have anims, both water ones appear to work. the first seems like a small squirt of water and the secondary appears to be a charged blast.
I was looking into vehicles and none of them hav sprites. We appear to have a bit of different stuff in our JazzEds. If u dont mind me asking, what version do you have? I have 0.41.0.722 I decided today to try and play through the game, and one of the things the rabbits say make me laugh "Jazz you are too late, your child has been taken to an underground labratory, but unfortunatley that part of the game is not done yet =) I guess you'll just have to go back to the castle!" If i were Jazz i'd be so mad. Last edited by plunK; Oct 19, 2008 at 09:00 AM. |

I have the same JazzEd version, but I'm remembering information from 2005-06 so the version I used back then might have been different.
Are you sure none of the vehicles show up? I can get all of the boards and one of the ships to appear. And even though the hang glider doesn't show up, if you run over the spot that you put it in, Jazz does start riding it. EDIT- And by "ride it", I mean "stand completely still". Which still kind of counts Last edited by n00b; Oct 19, 2008 at 10:03 AM. |
