A flaw in Captain Cook.

I only recently discovered this when I was trying to open an old Jazz-only level of mine. Captain Cook ignores the Spaz Start position when you start a game as Spaz. You start at the Jazz Start position instead.

Captain Cook has been around for a very long time now. I doubt the original creator is still around.

Could someone look in to this? Or perhaps it's time for an all-new level selecter?

I believe the latter is the case. I've been trying to make a new level selector for quite a long time, but I never actually produced anything yet. I might eventually get to designing it, though.

Are you sure it's a flaw in Captain Cook?

It's a flaw in Captain Cook. It only occurs when loading the level itself, though. If you load another level, and then cycle to it, the start positions will function normally.

In other words, it's a fairly minor problem and shouldn't affect most levels. Especially episodes, which tend to have the first level be some sort of intro where jazz/spaz starts don't matter.

Hmm, yeah, but that's the point, ya know? I don't want people to watch a terribly long intro and THEN get spawned in a cage with text strings "Spaz isn't available in this episode." :P

Then again, they can always JJNXT, like many do during an intro.
