Hello everyone

We've been thinking of a meeting in Poland again. It would be around 27 Dec till 2nd Jan. I won't give too much info yet because i'd want to know how many people are interested in it. We'd probably organize it in Warsaw/Kraków.

Sj, Emp, Snz, Ktoś and Veg are already in! Anyone else interested? ; D

Hmm, vacation in Poland...

Guess I'll be buying a ticket in .. a couple of days.

Out of the two cities, I'd suggest Warsaw. It's more in the center so more people should be close enough to come. Maybe I could appear for the first time then.

It's cheaper to fly to Krakow

Not for me.

But then again a train trip to Krakow from Warsaw would cost only about 12,5€ so that's not bad.

Yeah okay. Having a 51% discount on trains, I can go pretty much all over the country, but going from where I live (Gdynia) to Krakow would be 15 freaking hours because of how the train courses are arranged. To Warsaw, it's about half that. So in case of Krakow, I... CAN go, but it's rather discouraging.

Alright, so looks like Kraków seems to be the best for most of people.

I've found a quite cheap place to stay at. I hope the rest agrees It's just an option for us, nothing is sure yet.

Looks cheap enough for me :P I prefer Kraków because I would like to visit it. I've been to Warsaw already and might spend a few months in Warsaw next year, so I'd rather see something else instead. Plus some people live much closer to Kraków than Warsaw, like for ex. DarkLight, so neither of the two places is more fair than the other one location-wise.

For the Dutchies it's very easy to get to Kraków/Katowice Airport too. (Wizzair, Eindhoven to Katowice.) Cheap flights are possible to Kraków, not to Warsaw idd.
I understand DoubleGJ's point tho. From Gdynia to Kraków is .. like going through all of Poland north to south.

Warsaw suits me more

Funny thing you should mention this being 2011 because this totally small resolution picture was the only one I could find with transparency on the outside and actual white on the inside. Now I wonder, HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT HAVE THOUGHT OF FIXING IT ALREADY?

So, for me to get a permission I'd need some information such as who's coming and what ages, where would we stay, who would be in charge (probably would want something better than 'uh, Spr is') and stuff like that.

So far, Snooze (22), SJ (22), Veg (22) and SpR (19) are sure to be there already, tickets bought. Seems like we're looking for a relatively cheap place in Cracow to stay at cause it still is 6 days. The place isn't yet decided as you can guess.
SpR is looking for Polish people who could help her organize things during the meeting (e.g. help with whatever).
There's a whole list of "maybes/almost sures" too. Ktos (17 then), Galana (18), DarkLight (16), Grytolle (23 then), Anubis (18) (and don't forget Crimi and DS lol). Gienka, DoubleGJ would like to join in too although Cracow doesn't quite fit them. Warsaw would be better. (And I am sure I forgot a bunch of people who showed remote interest cause I don't know everything either. It would be a good idea to make a list of people who would like to join in, and keep it updated xD.)

So yeah, this is all the information I can give now.
Most importantly: find a cheap place where to say. If that's organized I believe the big picture is ready. Tickets are being bought already as you notice. Perhaps you could fly with SJ/Snooze, especially cause your parents know them too already. We're sure to get some place and it shouldn't be more expensive than 10 euro a night, that is something I can guarantee .

Anyway as DoubleGJ said, there'll be a whole lot of adults and people who should be able to know what's going on. Several Polish speakers too for that matter. It should be fine .

and if things don't work out I am sure we can all crash at DoubleGJs place in the north of Poland for that matter

As far as I know, atleast SJ and Snz are coming to Warsaw, and if possible, I would be coming with them.

I already am doing quite a lot about the meeting. As i said i cant give much info yet.

I told people who are interested to write it on the topic. And I cant do everything myself. I try to talk with people who are interested about the meeting too.

Anyway people who are 100% sure that arrive: Sperry, Vegito, SuperJazz, Snooze, Ktoś, Alex.

People who will come to Kraków for a few days/hours probably: Sasik, Cloud, Hakum (with sis), Darklight.

Prices on the site are wrong. Night in 6 ppl room costs around 38zł.

I could already reserve 1 room if all people agree on it. And I should do so as soon as possible because they start to run out of free hostels. However after I make the reservation I must pay around 30% of the price already.

So I'd want to reserve till the end of this week if possible.

The meeting would start on 27th Dec and we'd leave on 1st Jan (or 2nd if some people will stay then still :P I wont be able to stay myself)

Things we could do in Kraków: going to Aquapark, visiting Wawel (royal castle), go to the old city (we could spend new years there, they make great shows then ), walking near Wisła river, go to some small concerts (there will be some for sure), go to some big shopping centres, cinema.
We won't be bored in Kraków for sure, there are a lot of things going on most of the time :P

60 euros, 10 euro per night basically.
(and if we'd be staying till the 1st of January, it'd be 5 nights so 50 euro/190 zloty.)

I called the hostel today and the woman told me that the 6 ppl room is already occupied.

So i decided to reserve one 5 ppl room (45zł per person). There are a few rooms left still which are for 4 ppl (50zł per person [around 13 euro]) and 3 ppl (55zł per person[around 14 euro])

So if anyone else is interested please contact me or write something here as soon as possible
We really should hurry up if everyone wants to have a place to sleep.
