JJ2+ "Could not set video mode"
Hey guys, at least 80% the time now when I try to run JJ2+, I get this error:
FATAL APPLICATION ERROR Jazz Jackrabbit 2 signaled the following internal error: Could not set video mode 640x480x16 with Any compatible mode Make sure that this mode is supported by your adapter and that drivers for your video board are properly installed. If you have not installed DirectX, please do so. Please solve this problem and restart Jazz Jackrabbit 2. The other 20% or less of the time, it opens fine, and I haven't found a consistent reason why. Also, every time I try to run normal non-plus JJ2, it works. Any idea? |

Cool, thanks man, seems to be working.
For anyone searching for this and not quite understanding: I right-clicked the short-cut and went to properties, and made the "target" field read, "C:\Games\Jazz2\Jazz2+.exe -menu" Is that what you were saying to do, Jake? It's also possible that it's just randomly working now for some reason and I didn't accurately do what you were saying haha. |

This helps a lot. I had this too, but I noticed that starting the game in window mode never has this problem... so I pressed Alt+Enter as soon as the game started, so it reverted to window mode and got through the intro movies. Then, I remembered never to exit JJ2 in Full Screen.

Yeah, only happens with latest plus.
I'm using the -menu command to get around it, as I don't use JJ2 in windowed mode all too much.
