If you use F6 to save game and select "cancel" option and press ENTER key it will be save the game.
if you use F5 to load game and select "cancel" option and press ENTER key it will be loaded.

Hello! I remember when I first encountered this bug as well. It was present in 1.24x (Christmas Chronicles) version as well. I found it kinda awesome that you have a bonus slot. Yes the Cancel button works as a slot, which is funny

I realized this because you mentioned discovering this issue in versions prior to JJ2+. I hadn't encountered this bug before because I simply hadn't tried using the menu in this exact sequence. And since JJ2+ is positioned as a source for fixing old bugs, not just new features, that's what prompted me to post in this thread.
