Erhm, I just toasted my "new" 40GB hardrive. I was fiddling around with it, and well... "kaboom!". There's a slim chance I might be able to recover the data but it is unlikely. Therefore (all this is subject to change):
All current ELM projects are terminated and likely not to be recreated. TalonZone is on hold until further notice (not like that's a surprise). I feel bad for all of you because I had some really cool stuff I was actually about to finish up in the coming weeks... Sadly you probably won't ever see anything from me. Oh yeah - Derby, stripe? Either of you have that one beta test of PP in your cache still? It would be really slick if I could polish it up a little bit and then release it even if I never did get the tileset remask done... I owe it to everyone anyway... |

Man, that must be annoying.. I really wish there was something I could to do to help, but there isn't.

This might help...
Here is a 3 ways to save you hard drive article, which adds to your knowledge but requires you to read and do some work.
For the easy way you can try Ontrack's Easy Recovery. The Data Recovery Wizard helps you determine which version to get by asking you what is the media (hard disk, cdrom, etc.), your operating system, and the problem. This utility, at least the old version, works great, I've tried it before when it was still called Tiramisu and I recovered files from a disk that I had both fdisked and formatted. P.S. You'll need to purchase it or get a warezed version to actually recover the lost data; you will only see what you can recover with the free versions.
