Well it seems most of us reign from Europe. And then the other half of us including me reign from USA. A couple of people of people from Canada and so on. Well I was going to ask what Country you were from but then, I guess it was going to be counted as a person question. So don't answer that question!
But it's really cool though how so many of us came from all different countries. Well I guess this game originated in Europe, right? Well keep Jazzin folks there's more from where that came from! If you didn't understand the incongruity of the preceding statement here's the same thing made easy. More humans will metamorph into bunnies, err enter the JJ2 Community. And more Countries will be discovered in this Melting Pot! Anywayz keep Jazzin!

Thanks to Aiko and Haze (and many others I'm sure), many North Americans were lucky enough to get their hands on a copy of TSF, enabling them to go jazzing with jazzers from Europe and other provinces. I, for instance, battled someone from Bulgeria (how interesting is that?

Umm.... Epic is located (was located) in USA. The headquarters (I know they don't exist anymore, but they did when Jazz2 was made) were in Rockville MD (right near me). Only, no companies in the US would publish TSF. But I believe the game originated in the United States of America. Tell me if I'm wrong, though.

Forget it, Another Jazz2 Fan (and JJ Tublear, Europe is more like a continent than what you call "province", heh!).
In my opinion, Jazz Jackrabbit 2 originated from the european demoscene of which Arjan and his dutch-belgian group Ultraforce were a pretty famous part (they made Vectdemo in 1991, one of the milestones at that time). For example, the first time i learned about JJ for example was in 1993, when i read an diskmag (the diskmaggy was "Worldchats 1" by finnish overrulers Future Crew, btw) article from Arjan about an "upcoming arcarde game" he was about to release for Epic. So iMHO the game is European :-) Nevertheless, Nick Stadler, CliffyB and Robert A Allen who did some important parts on Jazz1 and 2 are from the US and also worked for Epic, afaik. So thats the USA part :) Arjan (who coded the core of both games, in JJ2 together with Michiel Ouwehand, who is also dutch) always stayed in the beautiful Netherlands, even if big money in the US was attracting and he is still working in Amsterdam (at LostBoys). Alex Brandon and Jeh are from the UK, btw (but they both moved to the US afaik...big money eh :-). Well, despite dutch company Orange are the real *core* developers of the Jazz games, US-based Epic's role was very important and they were the main actor in this game (they also owned and own the right). Apart from that, JJ2 was also first released in Europe, then in the US and i think the main market for JJ2 always was the Netherlands (and i suppose Germany is the second most important, it sold pretty okay here too i think). As for Jazz2 online players, i think its about 60% Europeans and 40% Americans. Wild guess. Oh yeah, and type ARJAN in JJ1. Those guys are elite. *sigh* |

Of course! You always have to type pause+backspace before using cheats in JJ1.
Back on topic: there used to be a squad of players from Poland who i saw online pretty much, but they seem to be gone... ![]()

The only Eastern European Jazzers I know are Elrick (Poland) and Sharky (lithuania). I guess there were more, but I can't remember their nicks...
@Aiko: The Netherlands are sure the main market for Jazz2, especially if you go after percent. I'd say that there's at least one version of Jazz for every second household in Holland ![]() Germany...umm...I think the game is also often sold here, but, if you go after percent, it won't even be the half of the dutch percents, I guess. But those both markets, especially the German one, don't "offer" that much players to the community. Sure, there are loads of dutch Jazzers, but if you just think of how often Jazz is sold there, that's nothing. The same for Germany. There are really few German players, and they are all less popular. Do you, ppl here ![]()

Since Dean Dodrill, which all of you seem to have forgotten, is an American, and has never lived in any other country, I'd say TSF (with Lori in, whom Dean designed) was most like produced mostly in America. Why it was mainly sold in Europe, I don't know.
