Exclamation International Jazz teams

Times New Roman

hey all,ive got an idea if you like it or not i dont care i gonna write it anyway here's my idea: how about we get jazz2 international teams there are a lots of jazzers from different country's and if we have international jazz teams jazz would be even much funner,i think you dont get it?
like soccer they have got normal clubs (in jazz it are Clans)
and they have got international teams (my idea thing)
btw, those international teams arent Clans they dont have a site
u can have one but its not needed and every Team hase his captain. i hope u like the idea

considering the overbalnced poulation in some countries this idea would take some normalizing for some teams to grow the the height of other teams. It needs alot of refining but yes it could work.

This actually sums up to Europe vs. USA.
Euorope vs. USA is just as good as TSF vs. 1.23. Well, there are some euro ppl playing on 1.23 (like myself) but a huge majority of them are in TSF, so there

Yeah, like:
Europe vs. North America vs. The Rest

Could be a cool event idea for JDC i think.

By the way, don't underestimate the number of Europeans playing 1.23. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 1.23 *was* published in Europe, 1.24 was *not* published in the US.

Wooh, I wish I could play again, but, with the new firewall and shared connection which is as slow as it was...it's not really possible.

I liked playing though. Not sure how good or bad I was though.

No Canada must be on it's own. We have enough jj2 players to take you all down. Actually, Tyf could do it her self.

I can't remember all the Canadian jj2 players, but off the top of my head.

Emm... perhaps North America vs. Europe? Cuz theres WAY more people playing Jazz over in Europe... And since the North America would include Canada and USA, it would balance things out... Just the biggest problems would be Timezones... Not much fun playing Jazz if you have to wake up at 3:00 in the morning...

Thumbs up Great idea, but...

At first, Xan, this is a great idea. But I can only re-remember you on things other people already said:

1.) Often mentioned: the timezones. That way, there can perhaps be something like USA (or Canada ) vs. Australia...but it will be a really big problem to let some European team duel versus the Australian one. That way, the Northern American teams got some kind of advantage, I think.
2.) The location where people come from. If you don't mind the countries they enter at location in this forum , there'd be too much problems with the balance: like Rage said, there'd be AT LEAST four or five dutch teams, and if you let all those new players that go the special edition make teams (OK, they won't have a chance versus other ones!), there could be douzands of dutch teams. This shall not mean this is an advantage for the dutch, but it's sure hard to organize sth like that.
In addition, there are some countries where at all too much jazzers come from. For example also Germany. Yes, there are, perhaps hundred active jazzers, but not even 20 of them got 1.23, I'm sure. The only ones I know that got this are Aiko, Mirrow, me , Patar, and SonGoku. That's too few for a team, I think. There should be more ppl for substitutions.
3.) Perhaps the smallest problem: the organisation of the whole competition and of the single teams. I think there'll be some people like the JDC-Admins that will organize this. But the even bigger problems will be the single teams, I think. In the "better" teams with good&experienced players, it sure won't be a problem to decide who'll be captain. But what in that teams of new Jazzers? There'll sure be a few that'd like to take part in this competition...

OK, I mentioned enough bad things. Now I can only repeat that this is a great idea worth a trial.
If some people should decide to organize this, I'd like to help them. If you are one of them, and would like me to help , plz contact me: webmaster@j2f-clan.de. Thx .

That was all! Let's ry it !
