More than 100 is a start or you could make a small map and put a blue gem or some red or green gems and make them respawn about 20-31 seconds after it has been taken.
As long as you can get 100 gems in the map and there's an exit that's all that matters. |

I would NEVER use generators in a Treasure hunt map. Otherwise, people can just stay at one spot and keep collecting.

Some levels just have one gem, generating.. which is interesting.
I think 150 or 175 is a decent number.. 150 on the harder end. |

I reccomend about 30 red gems spread around the level with generators of 31 seconds. Don't clump them all in one spot or people will camp.

I probably would never recommend 100 gems because in mose scenarios treasure gets hosted with a 100 gem max. And unless you're planning to play treasure by yourself, 100 gems isn't gonna be enough.
I would say add between 180 to 210 gems, depending on how many people will be playing in the level. As I've seen from hosting Agama's "Cursed Treasure" levels, they barely have enough gems for online play. The default treasure level on jj2 uses about 210 gems, so you can use that level for guidelines.

A little off topic, but I'd like to comment that BlurredD has made the BEST TH levels I've ever seen. Are ya gonna make a volume 2, or what?

Ah, but don't put too many gems in, cause they have a tendency to appear multiple times in multiplayer...
I wonder why they do that... |

He means BlurredD's Lost Gemz pack, Volume 1.
A single gem can turn to thousands of gems, in time. Beware the buttstomp. |
