ICQ Issue
Whenever I try to add anyone to ICQ, it doesn't work. If I click on "Add/Invite Users", the ICQ window just toggles on and off from being the active window to not being the active window. Whenever I attempt to download one of those programs that adds a single user to the list, the download window pops up and suddenly closes. Also, whenever I change a setting, it ignores the changes. I have Windows 98 First Edition and ICQ 2000b and I need to change settings ASAP for security reasons.

Get the latest version (2002a). That might help (maybe they aren't compatible with older versions anymore?)
Or you could try Trillian. It lets you have ICQ, MSN, AIM, and Yahoo! in one program, and also can act as an IRC client. It also has a simpler interface without the ads.
