1.24's internet is overpopped with hotel levels....
People who has a hotel level is a ''Ruler''
They have power to remove people's room, they have the power
Seriuless people like Cell just leave and go host
the problem is, that Cell is mostly the only that does this
Also a lot of Test levels is hosted, kinda boring if you ask me.
About Ruler, you might loose tons of frendship out there cause of choose hotel levels, becuse hotel levels is the wave that no-one can stop
I want to stop it personal, but only 1 person cant stop that madness...
What about choose good battle levels?
There's tons of good tilesets, no in much use
Disquess how we can fix this big problem, and turn the frendship back to all who lost it.

After posting this post, me and Elrick disquessed it via msn.
We found out what kind of special power people get with a hotel/village

Rooks and Newbides is a kind of slave for the owner´:
If they dont alow, they loose their room

People get too populair, so if you kick or ban person off, you might loose lots of frendship...

People who says bad about the hotel, will might be hated and kicked off server or people will leave server

Jazz jackrabbit 2 is not a competition
It's for fun

This is might hard to understand, but i try take an example:
(This is not for hurt Winner, this is for help Winner)

Winner was a non-rulez player, needed help, like join a clan so be known, BUT
now he made this super smart clan hotel, where there is passworeded rooms
...
If your good, you might get a 'special' room
Like a super secret room or something near that ..
Now how winner rule is another thing:
Winner: Moon, if you shoot me you loose your room
Winner: Moon, if you kick me, your no longer test king and you loose your room

..
[this is not for attacking winner, but for help him]

Sight, i spended some weeks on all choose **** test levels, for be a test king, and this is what I get:
Winner can prevent himself for kicks/bans

What I'm gonna do when that happend again, and again

For as far as i know, there is no way to make other players stop hosting hotels. There is only one thing we can do... We need to give all hotels lovers brain implants. We put a small computer in their brain, and with it, we can controll them all. And if that doesn't work, we'll just have to wait for it to pass.... if it ever does.

The 2nd option seems to be winning. Go us.

at TSF they all suck
at 1.23 i didnt see hotel levels much but if i see one it was a good one

There is no problem. Village and Tests are perfectly good gametypes, as long as the levels are good. Just like any other gametype.

The real problem is TSF needs ppl how can play jj2 well. Forget hotels there godawful.

When I think on villages, I think on 2:
The Brothers Village
Harweys Town
Yea, they are both great, cuz hosters isent the WE RULE HERE type, and i mostly forgot all choose bad villages i saw
I like test when i dont have done them, and it depends on its hoster...
Most recent tests i have done is alone with the hoster, and trust me, that can be boring |p
Remember I don't say you not may host, but I say there is problems about it. I known there's some few great hosters of hotel levels, and in your time bunny Elmer, I would belive a hotel level will be great, but reasons why hotels is boring:
~There is mostly only rooms, you may not fight in them, so what's fun about be in your room a hour?
~People take it wrong if you just walk into their room and they might get mad on you
~There's no recent eyecandy...only few hotels have that, VERY few.
Try list up some reassons, it's intresting to hear from both parts :P

I like hotels but I dont make them. I dont have any rooms in hotels.
I dont think you should try to stop people from hosting hotels; let them host/make or use hotels if they like them.

I dont see why friendships are broken just from someone liking hotel levels; whats the big deal?

If someone insults someones hotel who is hosting they are uasually kicked or banned. This is understandable; try to avoid this.

Why do people hate others just cause they make hotels? Thats just usless!

The above is my oppinion; you can agree or disagree I dont want to argue and this is a game and need not be so serious.

I hate hotels, but don't you find the tileset of those 2 levels you mentioned (The Brothers Village and Harweys Town) kinda strange in a way? hehehe

It's there the problems is, I never see Bunnyelmer there too, so how can he say that? =p
The problem is that, if any saw a hotel like Fi's hotel, you might understand why i want people to host something outher, or we might find a better way to build hotels....
Fi's Hotel has absolutely no eyecandy, all text is dutch, and the rooms is small and pushed together ;p

Harwey's town, to be honest, it's the best kind of hotel i ever seen.
Rooms is big, such they count as houses, erh....they are houses =)
There's lots of good stuff, it's fun to play in the level.
Such games as cops and ...you known, I might known it as thiefs and soldiers =D
(more gameplay ;P)
The problem is that no really host a good level, and when 1 person do, all these hotel close such owner want to play too, and server might crash really fast cause of lag

yep it sure is!
And yes on 1.24 there is often too much lag on hotel servers. Most hotels I have seen where ok although some lack eyecandy.
And I dont think making someone not host hotels or making them change to the new way if they dont like it is a good idea either.

If you dont like their level just leave their server; as simple as that. Mabye you could find something good about one of those hotels you dont like. I think its worth a try.
And could ask them if they wanted any tips or help on improving the level or becomming a better level maker.

Ok you dont like some hotel levels; think about the levels you make are they any good?

I think that almost every level on JJ2 has some work put into it and has atleast one thing good about it or good the author added.

I used to like hotel levels, but not anymore.

Hotels suck. I never liked hotels. If I could, I would get some hot sauce, drench a hotel in it, then eat it whole O.o

Not too many (if any) good level makers like these evil hotel levels. And when someone dares to release one of these on j2o, they normally don't get too high ratings. Personally, I think hotels are a waste of potential talent. You should just stop making boring hotel levels and try creating CTF, Battle, Treasure, Race, or Single Player levels or something else that's actual playable.

Hotels suck. They steal a lot of players. Don't host hotels. They are for n00bs.

In my opinion, at least 95% of all the hotels suck. I've seen a lot of hotel levels and there were a few less bad ones and only one I really liked (TEC Hotel). A hotel level CAN be good if it's original, and a original tileset.

Ah, I remember my good ol' Bartman Hotels. I had fun working on them...

Reason why people make them is because they can "imagine" running a big hotel business. Not to mention some unregularness you can do with it.
