Winamp 3 Blew up in my face!!
For some sudden reason, WA3 stopped working. I've tried just about everything to get it to work, but nothing. I even REINSTALLED OVER IT. I don't want to lose my settings...I don't want to lose my skins...I don't want to lose my components...I don't want to lose my playlists...
Any ideas? 1) I cannot get into the WA3 object. It dies on startup. 2) It just started today. It was acting goofy yesterday. 3) I saw an error message that pointed the problem to a file in the Winamp3 directory: Common.dll. Is this file the problem, or a combonation of many things? 4) Is this a virus? I hope to god it's not.

Winamp is an evil decoy by satan to hide the truth about the emu and the snufuss's relationship.

Uhh.. re-download/re-install winamp? Perhaps you got a component that messed everything up, or something. And of course you should scan for viruses (virii) just in case.

Winamp 3 lets me use CD Ripper, the best CD-Extracting tool I have ever seen.
Winamp 3 also has the new version of AVS, which I like. I guess I will just uninstall everything and reinstall everything...It may work, because something may be embedded in the other files so I best kill it all and reinstall it all. XD

If i were to guess what the problem was id say it is a mis-configuration, probably caused by components; you said you had a lot? I had the same problem, i went crazy one day and downloaded like 50 avs and game components, and ever since, my wa3 hasn't worked the same. Test by just reinstalling wa3 into a new directory.
