What, there's a Single Player?
Have any of you actually beaten the game without any sort of cheating? I know I haven't, I don't have the patience, even though Single Player is unbelievably easy to beat. If you have, try to recall how long it took you.

The first time, it took 2 weeks or so, I sucked back then. Maybe it took more, I just remember me being proud to reach the last leval, but it took me a couple of days (if not more) to beat Devan. I didn't know how to cheat back then anyways. After that, I play SP rarely, when Im bored, I beleive I passed it without cheating in some hours, but its hard not to cheat for me (I usually do it to go back and get some secrets I missed to get a good end score). When I get bored or dont have enough time/patience, I just save the game and continue it later. Simple.

I don't remember how long it took the first time I played. Maybe a few days, with some cheating. Devan actually seriously was really difficult to beat, but that was like five years ago.
The last time I played was showing mcatis how to play, and beat the entire thing in less than an hour, without really trying to get everything. After the 1.23 patch came out it reset the episodes so I decided to play them all for real to beat it and get as much as I could and explore as much as possible. It took me a couple days, and the only cheats I used were jjnowall and jjfly in order to get out of walls it got stuck inside. The only times I died were by accident, and I died about 3 times in total, and ending with about 60 lives. Oh, and it was on the hardest setting (not that that is hard at all). JJ2 SP is ridiculously easy, which is part of why I was always inspired to make SP levels and to make them difficult.

Does playing the single players in cooperative mode count?

Two hours. I converted from Rayman and Commander Keen, so I had practice =P.

I beat in about two days. Only Bolly and Devan gave me any trouble.

Every so often I get bored and play the whole thing. Maybe with the TSF episode tacked on. I think I've beaten it maybe ten times now? More? No clue how long it takes.
...and as a general rule, I don't count getting out of things like the Psych Spikes as cheating. |

It took me a few weeks to beat the game, too, I think. I didn't know how to cheat. I took turns playing with my older sister, so that made beating some of the harder bosses (e.g. Devan) less frustrating. Good fun.

It took me two days, but I played 1 hour of SP each day, so it was really 2 hours. The only boss that gave me trouble was the bolly boss.
...but I lost my high score from a virus... ![]() I'm thinking of making a series of levels where you find the purple gems in these invaded hotels. Or not. -RoW row row your boat... |

I play mainly for SP. Beat SP first time in about 45 min on normal mode. Takes me longer on hard mode, which is IMO how the game ought to be played. It was shorter and easier than I was hoping for after JJ1.

I got the game, and beat it in around 2-3 hours on the hard setting. And then got the internet, and played it online, with IceWing, Bartman, Crazy R, ICEM@N, Falcon A5, and started an extremely n00bish clan a few months later. And then on the blueboards, someone named Dreama introduced herself, and that person joined NB.
I had her first. ;-; |

Oh yeah the first time I beat the game it took me a week. But only because I played it in short bits completing about 2-4 levels each day. I cheated on the last 3 bosses and played on easy but nowdays I can complete the game on hard without cheating and in about 2 hours (the Devan and Bolly boss are real easy now) |

If you're talking about JJ2, it took me some days to beat it, i think.
By the way, 20 minutes is extremely unrealistic. I don't believe you, Darker. I think you need at least one hour to make it thru in Medium level, and only after some weeks of practice. |

I have never gotten through it by myself because after I get to Carrotus I cant be bothered. But I did beat it in about 3 days on co-op with my sister. Its so boring playing by yourself.
