No one can join my games.....(TAKE 3)
Ok here is the specs:
I am on a LAN Based Network with 4 PCs (3 PCs on Windows ME and 1 On Windows XP) all 4 PCs connect to the internet thur 1 main server (Windows 2003 Server) Which is directly connected to the internet thur a Cable Modem. I wanna host my own games instead of just joining, but the Windows 2003 Server doesn't take incoming connections. I know that a dont have a router, or a gateway, but the server does have a firewall (Internet Connection Firewall) The question is, How do I configue the internet conection firewall on windows 2003 to accept connections from other people when I host games. In other words, I wanna know how to open ports on ICF for JJ2. Please help. |

Simple, use the guide made by MS.
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...ect/ports.mspx (towards the buttom) Do it on your server. on point 8 which says: In Name or IP address of the computer hosting this service on your network, type 127.0.0.1. Put your INTERNAL IP (of the PC you want to play JJ2 on in there ) in instead. (to find it out, run this on your PC: Start > Run > ipconfig /all) you need to open port :10052 once, for TCP. and once again, for UDP. then you should be done ![]() |
