for some reason my computer's speaker randomly keeps making a high pitched noise....

any thoughts?

when does it do it?
bios or win?
did u add any new hardware?
did u disable any devices
is it an old piece of crap or is it fairly new?

Mine does that often. I think it's the speaker.

How about giving us more info, like what you did before it happened, your system spec, anything? We're not exactly fortune-tellers with a crystal ball you know

I'm assuming that the computer still works, and also that this is the internal speaker you're talking about.

Check the system fans. If a fan dies the BIOS will probably let you know by beeping at you, or apparently in some systems by playing some classical music (like Fur Elise).
