Multi-monitor software
I am in need of multi-monitor software, one that will let me have diffrent backgrounds on each of my monitors, amongst other things. I am willing to pay 1 US cent for this software as well, seeing as Best Buy doesn't think I need to work.
I googled and found a few programs, but nothing that cost less than 50 pesos.

I assume you are running your multimonitor setup either with native windows support, or in a 'span' configuration? Just create an image the size of both screens combined (e.g. for two 1024x768 screens side-by-side, create a 2048x768 image). Copy and paste one wallpaper on to the left of the image, and the other on the right. Save the file and set it as a tiled (yes, tiled) wallpaper. Enjoy.

Well, so I don't accidently move my mouse to the other screen and loose the cursor, I have them set up at diagonals to each other. And one of the monitors can handle a much bigger resolution than the other. But, based on Boggy's idea, I hit the "printscreen" key, which gave me a frame I could paste the wallpapers into, and that is now working.

Anyway, I have no experience with multimonitor support under Linux but I can tell you that it works like a charm under Windows 2000/XP, *without* using nView or similar. |
