Well this is odd! Why I can't upload animated GIFs? And why the avatar MUST be ONLY 48x48 pixels? WHY? I know there is a thread that you can't do these things. This is just extremely stupid. Well, I can't use avatars because of that.

They are 48x48 because it makes them all look uniforme and more proffesional, also large avatars are extremly annoying this also prevents people from just taking some stupid avatar they google up. In the first place avatars were objected to and most people didn't want them so I doubt they will get any bigger or any more annyoing.

I prefer them small, by the way. If they were larger I'd feel obliged to fill all that space, and I'm only good with small spritework.

Low bandwith-friendly, not annoying, still enough space to show what's necessary.
