Stop bothering Epic with silly e-mails. They're not going to attach the source code to their reply e-mail. Have you ever heard about intellectual property? Your e-mails only make it more unlikely that the source will ever be released.
And IF they would release it they would not send it to someone who cannot even write a properly layed out e-mail. If I was Mark Rein, at this point I would either not have replied or have sent an irritated reply just to make sure you won't mail again.

LOL,so many people have asked for it,they probeply have a bot now what send back corny messegers.
still I think we have showed epic how much people like the game. Pehaps just pehaps one day they will give the source code away. The only thing we can do for now is,keep making ,programs, levels, music ,and tilesets for are green hero. ![]()

What if we send them an honest e-mail?
"Hi, we're, like, geeks... and we're gonna make our own game using your JJ2 source code. TORRENT PLZ." ... never mind. |

Unless you're going to ship in a very sizable amount of money, it's really not going to be a motive for the release of the source code. Pocket change is not going to do it.
Before posting, maybe read the FAQ to clear things up for yourself.

Can everyone who is commenting about buying the source please read the FAQ part about buying the source code? Your questions miss the mark and answers can be found in there. You aren't going to be able to buy the source, there's no monetary amount attached to it and collecting money for it has no point.

that would be pretty funny if they lost it. I think i'll reply and ask them how much money they want for the code and see if they'll answer with an amount lol.

To be honest, I don't see why Derby would essentially leave my post blank. Makes more sense to just delete it to me in the circumstances.
Essentially the post was "Leave Epic alone", how that was a WA is beyond me. Of course, I have no way of checking what I said, and at this point I really don't care. |

Please don't bother Mark Rein with questions about source code price. Read the FAQ to see why they are useless questions. The source does not have a price.

By the way, I think I'm not the only one willing to pay more than the 20 Guilders I payed for the game... Either that, or I'm really greedy.

Somehow that's funny, yet somehow I just wanna say WHAT THE. They made the fr(-) game, thus know how to play it better. But one day they'll get really bad at it. Trust me. Whether that's these days or not is debateable.

DrMoo, this is idiotic. That question has been asked so many times we know the answer to it. Here's how I see it.
Jazz Jackrabbit was produced by TWO companies, Epic and GOD. I would think that to have the scource code for jazz released, you would have to go to both companies to approve the release. Both are not interested in releasing the code, so you are just irritating them with emails. I will echo everyone here saying DON'T BOTHER EPIC. Telling the boss his products are crappy ("All I want to do is fix some memory errors that come up.") Isn't the best way to get somthing, so you just ticked him off; Hence the blunt reply. Fquist, I really think you should close this... |
