The post count won't ever come back, because they say it encourages spam. About the flags, why not, but I won't die for them either.

The "Frequently asked questions" thread in this forum should be replaced with something saying "The JCF is NOT other forums."

You can view your post count pretty easily if you wanted to...(and other people's as well. Although when trying to arrange members by post count the results are quite off since there seems to be a date where the JCF reset its track of people's posts and the ones made before that date aren't counted in the result, but are counted when you view an individuals post count).

Post counts: no. Discussed and decided long ago.

Flags: probably not. They would be annoying to add and would cause problems when updating the forum software. Besides, you already have a location field that can include not just your country, but your city/town too.

If you really wanted a flag, you could put it in your signature or avatar.

Could you enable IMG tags in the location field? Like, with a specification to keep it below a certain, tiny size?

If it was those cute tiny lil' flags I think I could tolorate it.

That would lead to abuse easily though.

what about if you do it so people can still write stuff but they can only have the size flags you suplly them?

The left pane is already busy enough with name, avatar, custom title and the rest. That's what "location" is for. If people want to use it for something else, whatever. You already have a field to type something stupid in, after all.
