Talking Hooray!

Well I'll just say it shortly, more explanations will come later; after more than a year, the JJ2WC is back to its original hands!

Stay tuned.

I'll just note I'm open for all kinds of suggestions now. So post here if you have something in your mind (or contact me directly, at this stage that would work too).

Hooray! No more delays!
Honestly, JJ2WC3, or it's attempt, wasn't really well organized. But, good to hear!

Hmm.. I think it would be cool if the teams could be just any three jj2 players, so they don't have to be from the same clan or country.

So finally there could be a team Emperor/BadBunny/Ajazz and Vivando/Snooze/Maverick.

But maybe it would be clever to make it so that players in a team have to also be in the same clan. This should be played this year, as people playing jj2 get all the time less and less active.

If you're talking about the National Tourney, then no.
If not then please carry on, but I won't participate in such foolishness

I am not sure if a clantournament would work out.
I guess you could just make several teams, as Sucer said. Without counting nationality and clan ;o

It was not because it wasn't well organized. It was because ppl didn't bother to play anymore.
It was useless to actually try to organize a tournament.

The initial organisation was flawed, and I'm also one of the people to be blamed for that.

The only possible option I can see at the moment is a tournament for individuals.

*thinks back to that one saturday morning the RRA team was ready to win their first match, but neither the officials nor the opponents showed up*

Why not a 2on2 cup? I think that can be interesting as it won't be too hard to get enough teams + 2on2 is more fun than duels(imo).

@ Jerry : the first match of RRA was against Team Belgium , if I'm right

Hmm could arrange a 3vs3 tourney just for fun to see how it works and then give feedback here. Then give suggestions what worked well and stuff.
I'll just make it a quick one and see how it works.

There have been arranged more tournaments in the past , so there are other people who ARE more experienced in this than probably you.

Ye I know. But I'll gain experience:P If someone wants to help me with my wannabe tournament I'm glad. My tourney also checks if there is enough interest in jj2 to have a jj2Wc3. Then if something goes wrong there I can tell it here or something. As r3p told me, jj2wc is legendary and I wanna make it work!

I'm not trying:P R3p is. I mean everyone of us should put his or hers own effort in to make it work. So I'll do "my part" lol to make it work or something.

Not a bad call actually. It's far easier for two people to arrange convenient duels than for six. Or you could try to arrange a 2vs2 tournament for a change (as far as I can remember, no living soul has ever managed to make a successful 2vs2 tournament, so it would be a welcome first time).

This sounds like CoC3/JDC all over again... but I'm probably the only one who remembers that.

I suspect there are a lot of people who don't give a (-) about this tourney, but do care for the WC. So, what you said is pointless.

we're getting a flood of tournaments now: the country cup (subscription open), the wc3 (announced), the early 2007 3vs3 tournament (subscription open) and the DOAC (to be announced)

so after the country cup and the early 2007 3vs3 tournament no-one wants to play anymore

Yes Yes, I remember! However to make JDC succesfull you should remember to make the awards > : )

And people would want to play still probably ;P It looks like JJ2 is becoming more active again. And more tournament based.

some tournaments are fine, but they could become boring if there are too many of them

Oh. Well of course there might be people who care about the "officiality" of the tournament, but I'm playing jj2 just for fun (and winning a tournament is fun)

let's make a rule: only jerry may win.

you should play Jj2 for fun, and it's not fun if you don't win. so I have to win if I play, and the only way to be sure of that is a rule. if you beat me, you are disqualified because of broken rules

anyway, I really hope the WC3 clancup will be there
