Every 3 days, you may submit ONE PIXEL! This will go on indefinitly until we get our 1,024 tiny dots of colour. Then we can all compile it into one super tile. We can look at this thing and say "We did this as a community!"
Let's get tiling! Sorry Vio, I just couldn't resist satiring your competition =( Edit: Radium is better than I am: ![]() Excellent job so far! Last edited by Strato; Jul 28, 2005 at 05:32 PM. |

If we can continue with this project indefinitely, and safeguard it from nuclear holocausts, the greenhouse effect, alien attack and human exctinction, then the JJ2 community will have a lifetime of over 1021 years. Keep up the good work, guys!

Best thread ever.
EDIT: I'll keep track of and compile submissions: ![]()

Oh, sry Strato. I thought you meant that only one pixel was allowed per week. In fact, to prevent the immediate death of the community and for the sake of jazzers all over the globe, the rules of this competition must be amended NOW!

You should have a rule that you can't edit your own pixels but other people can.

As we approach a higher number of pixels it might get a little more complicated. People might name the same pixel twice. I dunno. I guess we have a while to worry about that. The chances of that happening now are about 1/256.

EDIT: Updated the tile and added my pixel for this week (#008000 at 29,30). Out of curiosity, is the top left pixel 0,0 or 1,1?

Hopefully people will place their pixels in a place where it forms SOMETHING. We shouldn't plan ahead, though. That would be like communism.
Let's try to reuse some colors. Our limit is 256, but we should aim for fewer than that so it can go in tilesets with different palettes.

Um, Radium, that pixel of mine you placed in looks a little off color... I said RGB(180,93,0), which is a slightly darker orange, but you put in a sort of greenish color. O.o
Edit: It looks like you made a typo: You put in RGB(80,93,0) instead of RGB(180,93,0). Better fix that. :P |

RGB (255,255,0) at 1,1 please.
![]() Edit: We'll make a tileset and put this tile in it! AND WE'LL NAME IT: Tile of the Year 2005! ![]() |

I've actually been trying to turn it into a floor tile. Look at the vertical thing in the top-center. That kind of looks like a floor, doesn't it?
