JJ1 to JJ2?

Is there a level converter (or pre-converted level pack)?

JJ1 runs absolutely not at all here, without dosbox, and with it has speed issues, but JJ2 runs quite nicely.

The two games are too different for there to be any easy way of converting them. Not saying it's impossible: both game's level formats are quite well understood. But to write a converter would take a considerable amount of time and testing, and the few people who are talented enough to do that likely don't have the time or the will to do so.

There have been a few attempts at manually converting the levels, but that is a very tedious process and as far as I know no one has done much beyond recreate one or two levels.

That sucks... Jazz is basicly unplayable here, and OpenJazz seems to be on the path of being finished at the same time as Duke Nukem' Forever.

straight conversions would be ridiculously easy considering the bigger resolution and special moves

WAIT, WON'T IT BE ILLEGAL!???? OMG RUN AWEY!!! HE ONLY WANT US TO GET SUED!!!

Wut's the problem with dosbox? It runs ok for me. And I think making the levels will be easier... But there are diffrent enemeis.... wait how the hell will converting work with the diffrent enemies and wepponds and other stuff anyway?

JJ is not as fun as JJ2 anyway.

I've not been able to get it to work in dosbox without slowing rather horriblly when you, for example, jump, or shoot.

Here is episode 1 converted using jj2 tilesets

There are JJ2 tilesets of JJ1 levels, so MANUALLY converting them would not be that hard, but quite time-consuming

JJ1 had some amazing level-design. You might not want to talk bad about JJ1 if you're planning to be anything in this community.
