I guess this can be considered art of some kind...
If you've ever wondered what I I've been doing for the past few months then here is the answer. This is a video compilation of 35mm aerial shells that I made myself. I tested various star compositions and videotapped the results. I did the camerawork while my neighbour did the launching.

Indeed I have.
I have barium nitrate (green color, toxic), Strontium nitrate (red color), but I have yet to get copper (II) oxide (blue, toxic). Sodium benzoate gives yellow. Getting other colors is only a matter of mixing these components in proper ratios.

Cool, though the video didn't really show any differences in colours.
Anyway, take care. I've heard enough stories about people losing limbs while making their own fireworks.

I believe I know why people lose limbs. Take a look at those youtube videos where kiddies do all sorts of insane stuff with fireworks.

Well, my main example was a kid who was just doing something stupid, and lost his lower leg. At school we call him bomberman behind his back. (You decide if that's wrong)

The fireworks look very nice, though the titanium shot lasted too long with burning. Professional stuff, I'd say.

Too bad you put the guitar whining in the background of the video. I was hoping to hear the bangs like in the first vid you placed on youtube.
