I agree about hex editor. But who wants to lose time with editing plus and such as things, when he can download real TSF not LK avalon

It's certainly possible, but painfully tedious and you'd really need to know what you were doing.

Unless of course I am completely and utterly wrong about how Plus is implemented.

To clarify, the reason Plus doesn't work with the Avalon version is that it has different memory addresses than the regular TSF. Supporting it would require a lot of additional effort from BlurredD and would have very little benefit.

(except that Avalon is the polish jj2 version, the biggest nationality on jj2 )

I don't get what that has to do with it. I know I'm going to draw a lot of aggression here, but just pirate the regular version. Come on, you already bought/pirated the game anyway, I can't imagine what sort of ethical objection there would be for that. If you're going to get into legality, keep in mind that JJ2+ is probably just as illegal.

Well, that may be stretching it. He isn't distributing the whole game or any code or anything.

It's actually really really easy

Just download TEC.exe and put it elsewhere. Now rename the file Jazz2.exe
Now you open it with your favorite hex editor and do the following:

At 004C9BE8 hex dump: 31 2E 32 31 change to 31 2E 32 34

Easy! Now you also have to patch 1 byte... Uhhh (-)(-)(-)(-) I forget where, but it removes the crc check for anims.j2a

I don't feel like looking it up. Once you do that, you have a newly constructed jazz2.exe that'll work with Avalon and is Plus compatible

Known Bugs when hosting with plus, you will occasionally get a low framerate from having more than 4 players, after about 9 or so you're framerate will drop between 2 and 1 fps and eventually you will crash. So it's not stable. Download the REAL 1.24 TSF for the best compatibility.

EDIT: Also, I've noticed the animations issue to be associated with address 004D82A0, I think its something that accesses that address, though I'm not 100% sure and I don't feel like looking into this since blur knows everything :P

Normal TSF is just buggy, while LK Avalon is (-)(-)(-)(-)(-)(-)(-) buggy and not supported by Plus, but lets you play in Polish.

I like how you say 'download', not 'buy'.

I don't see normal TSF that much buggy really. It barely ever crashes on me. Most of the bugs that happen on it happen with 1.23 as well. But I've never played LK Avalon version before, nor do I intend to get or play it. I never even knew about it until people brought it up, lol.
