Ugh.... Is Bill (the guy from Logicware) ever going to fix the list servers???
If he doesn't, I suggest that we do something much like Alberto and Monolith did the last time they were down for a long time.
Monolith used his IP as a list server, and Alberto made a patch that made JJ2 load from "24.25.209.137" (now monolith.idlegames.com) But Logicware came back, and those that fixed their JJ2s had to use another patch to uninstall it. (or manually do it.) That's if, and I mean IF Logicware stays down. |

There is a way
Go to my website to get a patch like that! And it works! remeber its only temp till the server list comes back up! www.forcedpower.idlegames.com

Prolly not, I'd try to get Shadow to ask if Gamepoint could try again to host it
![]() And btw, the ListServer thing was never suposed to leak out. Shadow got it for testing purposes and IF it eventually ever would go down. If to much people get this.. loads of list servers will show up, and don't link to eachother so will split us up. |

Listservers...
You might want to add Monolith to your registry anyway since he does have a listserver up. This will also eliminate having to wait for it to fail and then enter monolith.idlegames.com. I am syncing with Monolith as a listserver (SpazBoy.idlegames.com) but I can't say how...let's see..."dedicated" mine will be. So, if Logicware doesn't rehost it (which seems likely as it takes about a minute to restart
![]() Besides, if you think about it, how many people are going to be dedicated enough to run listservers constantly? Seriously though, Logicware obviously doesn't want to put their listserver back up because I can tell you that it doesn't take much effort to double click the .exe file. Heck, they could even add it to their startup folder! SO COME ON LOGICWARE! PUT YOUR LISTSERVER UP!!

Fire Sword!
When it fails to connect (or connects) it will say at the bottom
Enter Address: . . . . . . . . And just start typing 'genotoxin.idlegames.com' and press enter. Then above, it will pop up and say User server at genotoxin.idlegames.com 157 ms (or whatever iCeD's ping is). So just select that and go play ![]()

I didn't feel like changing the registry... so instead of selecting "Internet Play", I chose TCP and typed in monolith.idlegames.com or genotoxin.idlegames.com

Maybe I should make a new patch built into the .exe file, because our patches probably made a lot of ppl to mess up the registry, and if Jazz2 tries to access more than 3 lists servers that are down when is hosting, it simply will give up.
Maybe I must build a .exe file that can access the servers that are up. Because I dunno if Logicware will come back, I mailed Burger to times, and didn't got any answer. Shall I make a Jazz2.exe that access the new lists? Vote yes or no. Or mail me: Alberto's e-mail adresss |

I didn't know you were still hosting Alberto. I had cleaned my servers.txt and only added people who said they were recently hosting.
I'll put you back (meanie)
