Life is hard. You eat all the apples. Then you die.

As an added challenge, try getting all achievements in just 2 runs. It doesn't change anything if you do. Just for funsies.

The enemy escaped

I like the slow motion in the win screen. Maybe if I had slow motion like that I could actually avoid the enemies and win the game.

Unofficial strategy guide:

1. Hold right.
2. Press and release left. Don't release right.
3. Screw gameplay; enjoy your only opportunity to see Renfred moonwalk.

I've updated the game a bit. It now has touch controls and you can play as a cardboard cutout of a badly drawn Jazz Jackrabbit.

You nerfed the enemies and buffed the main character! The balence is messed up!

Also, since you maed JJ3, is this JJ5?

I'm impressed by how you managed to make blaster look even less SFW than the original. And speaking of NSFW, I probably don't even want to touch the topic of where bullets come from when you play as Renfred.

I like how lives go negative if you die enough times.

Is there an achievement for beating the game using touch controls with your mouse?

I agree. The game is far too easy now. I think I was overcompensating for that one tricky enemy on that small platform. It killed me way too much. I replaced him with environmental hazards... Another big factor of the nerfed difficulty is that the health/damage system works correctly now. x_x

Sir Ementaler: Next update, I should work on the lives system. (And I was honestly hoping I made Jazz's gun LESS phallic). I knew Renfred's shooting looked awkward. I just didn't bother with it :P

Sean: Hmm. I've considered achievements. I suppose I could do something for when keyboard controls are never used. A set of achievements to collect could give the game a goal to work towards... How did you beat this with a mouse? XD

*edit* Oh! you mean mouse and keyboard? I did try a bit of that while testing. I was happy to see the moonwalk still works in touch mode.

No, I didn't touch the keyboard for that run, only used the mouse. As for how I beat it...

...let's just say hundreds upon thousands of hours on TF2 gives you an amazing ability to flick your mouse to the intended portion of the screen with pretty great accuracy. (it still wasn't easy though)

extra clarity: not a brag, TF2 just focuses so heavily on burst damage that flick aiming is pretty heavily encouraged, many times I think I've forgotten how to track.

Does anyone have ideas for other achievements?

I would like to throw in some extra stuff to make it worth the extra playthrough. A timer and a scoring system. Maybe include an exit that functions like the one in JJ2's Treasure Hunt mode. Also, a few minor things... Like shortening the title music. The game is 4MB. Half of that is the title song.

Okay, how about one for killing every enemy in the level?

Achievements are now implemented. Sean's achievement is a secret. You can unlock it, but it isn't part of the main 4 needed to beat the game.

Maybe I'll work on the animations next and call it done. After that, I'll release the resoures for others to play around with.

Also, I love how Jazz uses his epic psychic powers to shoot out of his elbow.
