I like playing JJ1. JJ2 in low resolution still isn't quite the same.

I prefer bad resolution in a battle level it removes a bunch of useless eycandy layers witch makes the battle less confusing for me.

It depends on what you mean by "bad resolution". Some people think 320x200 is "bad" because it has a limited range of view and is "pixelated". Other people think 640x480 is bad because the objects and/or characters are small and the detail is lost heavily. Me, I think 640x480 is worse due to reasons stated above and that it loses the feel of the low-resolution Jazz 1. However, I still play on 640x480 regulary in case chat text lines are too long (which they always are).

640x480 is still a bad resolution, no matter which way you look at it. If any such thing were possible, I would run Jazz 2 at 1024x768 with an overall magnified scale matching 400x300. The text would be un-scaled. And with AGP acceleration, too.

As for the sound, the sound with all the settings turned to best STILL is low quality. The Galaxy sound system (the sound system used in Jazz 2) is weak and can't handle many different functions and effects used in MODs (mainly with insturments and note actions). Also, the interpolation doesn't really interpolate much (if not at all).
