For my next version of ChatLogJJ2 II, I will need a bit of help with some graphics and sound effects (you don't want to see me make those
![]() What I need are:
All of those, except for the "chat" sound should be about 0.5s to 1.25s long...the chat sound should be 0.5s at most (because it will be used very often)
If I think of more (I *may* need some more icons, but it isn't certain), I will be sure to edit this post. You will get credit in the credits if you help. Since more than one person may apply, simply send your graphics and sounds to chris.bruton@shaw.ca, and I will pick the ones I deem the best (and best fitting). Thank you for your help BTW, the Beta release date will be February 1st, 2002 (when the beta testers get it), sounds and graphics or no sounds and graphics. If you want your sounds and\or graphics to be included in the Beta, please get them in fast ![]()

How about you just leave out all this nifty useless stuff and release the program earlier?

Thank you for all your help guys. Just email the stuff to me and I'll pick the best ones.
Of course you will be able to shut off the sounds. You can even use your own custom sounds if you want. I just want some sounds to ship with the program for people who are too lazy to get their own. Monolith, no, because these features are what is making this new ChatLog better than the old one. It is kind of boring to only upgrade the mechanics and not add any new stuff. And anyways, these extra fetaures are really easy to do, and cutting them out will probably only shave off one or two days.

It's just rather poitless from my point of view since I'm never going to turn the sounds on (because it would get real annoying and I don't have a multi-channel sound card).
All I was hoping for was a program that would do what it's supposed to do. ![]()

Well actually, the sound-on-event idea was originally supposed to be a different program of mine. But I thought I could save on some coding by just incorporating the sound idea into ChatLogJJ2 II.
Basically what it is for (well the original reason I wanted to make JJNotify, the sound-on-event program) is when you start a server, then you are waiting for people to come, you may want to catch up on some JCFing while nobody is at your server. So instead of having a tiny browser window, or worse, checking back to your server every so often and interupting your browsing. This way, it will just notify you with a simple sound when someone comes. If you don't want the sounds, but still want to be notified, I'm including the option to flash the icon in the taskbar x number of times (you specify) when an event occurs.

I just downloaded and played Disguise's wave file and it was good, he's got a talent for the insane voice.
