Anjoying JCS
LoL, I have windows me. and I have jazz2 TSF in c:\games\jazz2TSF\, and Jazz 1.23 in c:\games\jazz2\, the bug is when I double click on a level in my TSF dictory, JCS 1.23 opens the level, and when I double click on a level in my TSF dictory, 1.23 JCS opens it ;-P
How do I fix this anjoying bug? |

There is no good solution to this since all files use the same .j2l extension. If you want, you could set your .j2l to automatically open TSF JCS, but then when you double click 1.23 levels if you save them, they will be in 1.24 format, which is a bad thing.
But, if you want to make your .j2l load TSF JCS automatically follow these steps: 1. Open Windows Explorer 2. View -> Folder Options 3. File Types 4. Find, Jazz 2 Level 5. Click Edit 6. Under the actions window, click Edit 7. Change the path to the JCS you wish to have it open. |

If you want my reccomendation, rename your TSF jcs.exe to something like JCS_TSF.exe. View levels with TSF JCS, but make them with 1.23.

I have the best solution out of all of these:
1. Open Windows Explorer 2. Go Tools -> Folder Options 3. Go File Types 4. Find "Jazz2 Level" in the list and select it 5. Click Edit 6. Click New 7. In name, type "Open in TSF JCS" (without the quotes ") 8. In action type 'c:\games\jazz2TSF\jcs.exe "%1"' (without the single quotes ' but including the double quotes ") 9. Click OK 10. Click Set Default on whichever one you use the most 11. Click OK and OK again. Now, whenever you want to open something in TSF JCS, right click on the file and choose "Open in TSF JCS". To open in 1.23 JCS, just double click it. Or if you set the TSF JCS to the default, then just do the opposite (you may want to have renamed "Open" to "Open in 1.23 JCS") You can also add more actions, like "Play in 1.23" and "Play in TSF". Just follow the same process as above, having the path names 'C:\Games\jazz2\jazz2.exe "%1"' and 'C:\Games\jazz2TSF\jazz2.exe "%1"' respectively (without the single quotes ' but with the double quotes ")

Yea, Link. I have some similar pop-up menu commands like:
Edit with JCS Play Edit with TSF JCS TSF Play With this I don't need to hop from one version to another. Hmm A patch that enables this would be nice. I'll try to make one.

Heh, that's just what I did Overlord, but somehow, Windows changed it all back and I made a mess of everything.
