bleen.
Heyo all, yet again my router is posing problems. Actually, I'm not quite sure if it's my router this time.
Anyway. I've tried connecting my brother (actually me on my brother's computer) to my own server. The level that I was playing happened to be a custom level. Now, the thing is, a few seconds after it said it was starting to download the level file, it said there was an error downloading the file. It seemed like it had hardly tried. One other problem, similar to this, but not quite, is that my brother can't access our house network. As for the original problem, might I be able to solve it by simply downloading the file (from the internet) onto his machine and play the identical level on my server? I only want to have to resort to this as a last resort, considering my brother doesn't like me being on his computer, and he doesn't like wasting space. Although, I don't know how ANYONE could think JJ2 is a waste of space. ![]() Brother's stats: Comp: Dell PII 166MHz OS: Win98 JJ2: 1.24 Thx for the help, pplz, it's greatly appreciated.

I can't remember where I heard this, but I think someone told me that you can't download custom levels over a local network.
More information please ![]()

1. No.
2. Not yet. 3. Yes. 4. Yes. 5. You can do that? 6. Not yet. Can other players from the Net join a TCP game? 7. A message box appears, saying that he is not allowed to connect to the network, and to contact his administrator (me). 8. Well, all of the shares are inside the Network Neighbourhood, and he can only get to the first Network Neighbourhood screen; he can't access any of the computers yet. 9. All of the online computers appear in his network neighbourhood, but he is apparently not allowed to access them. 10. I can access the files on his computer from anywhere else on the network. 11. He seems to have no problems getting to the internet. 12. That might just be the problem. He does forgo the login screen. 13. No. 14. No. 15. 4. Y'know, Link, you're very good at this stuff. I tried logging him in with an official username and password, and he's now able to access the network and play network JJ2 games. I have yet to try to download a custom level to his machine, though. Thx a bunches! ![]()
