Are your saved game files (they all start with savegame and have an extension that is a number) read-only?

Ok, when you save a game and don't type anything in. Your save game will appear blank. Go into the load game screen, and look on the right. If the picture on the right looks like the screen where you saved, then that is your file.

If this doesn't work, attempt to load all 5 files, one of them has to be your file.
