Does anyone know where to get a MP3 converter for JJ2? I had one a long time ago, but it never worked. I want to convert this Simpsons song It starts out at "Hmm..... there doesn't seem to be any ANY key" and where Homer is "Doh!!!ing" the rythem.

or if you have it can you give it to me?

I am not sure of an MP3 to J2B convertor, but I will research.

And, if you are interested, I have the Simpsons mix you mentioned in .J2B (Jazz-compatible) format.

Dregor, where did you get the MP3 of that song? I have the J2B, BTW.

I'm pretty sure the only way to convert a j2b into a mp3 is to record what your computer is playing while running the file in JJ2. If it's a J2b, it was probably a .it, .mod, or .xm file once, so you may have better luck looking for the original.

The only program which converts files from the j2b format to anything, is any version of Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Even then, the only output format is mixed wave-out.

If you didn't understand that, then the answer is no.

Mono basically just gave a more technical version of what Radium suggested. If you know how (and if you don't I wonder bother explaining because I always seem to be explaining this) you can record what Jazz2 is outputting through the speakers to, say, a wave file, and then convert that to an mp3. Not using a microphone, it's all internal and there wouldn't be any quality reduction unless you have Jazz2 set to output worse sound quality.

LeSmash the tilesetmaker released this song with one of his tileset packs or something ages ago on J2C. I don't have the song anymore, but since you do, maybe you have those LeSmash tilesets

Talk to defalcon I'm sure he will cooperate

- I think it might have been the Carnival2 tileset. It was also in the Simpson's level, which was a rather entertaining one, if a bit linear.

- I'd co-operate sure. I'd send it to Disguise, and he can upload it to a server from there.

- PSP8 woo! Gimmie!

- Oh, and Dregor, it begins "To Start, press any key...where's the any key?"
BWEEOOP! "Welcome, you've got mail." "Aaaah!" "The Siimpssoons" Duh duh duh duh duh....

I believe he wants to convert J2B to MP3. But unless you use the aforementioned workaround that isn't possible. The J2B format hasn't yet been figured out by anyone.

If that's true, then how does MOD2J2B exist? Why wouldn't the programmer make a complementary program or something?

True, it seems we could figure out j2bs from mod2j2b.

Mod2J2B converts mods to j2b. Not the contrary.

It's a small dos program; if we figure oout how it works maybe we can reverse-engineer it.
