btw fquist, does the board cost you anything (as the jmmb obviously did for their admins)?
except a lot of sweat and effort of course ![]() and a second thought: maybe somewhen in the future we could finance an own domain like "jazz2online.com" (unfortunately someone already registered it. do you know who?). i would be willing to pay for it (a small part of course. others must be in it). the nagcentral.com address is very hard to memorize (for newbies for example) and makes it hard to advertise. |

Yes. I have registered jazz2online.com, but found out later that communitech did not allow it to be directed to a subdomain.
Currently, we are on onag's space. We'd like to stop bothering him and purchase our own domain. We were kind of talking about that on the old JMMB already. We have several admins wanting to donate money already. _________________ -Fquist Jazz2Online |

Rofl..
Well, onag has all the right to close this down. But we won't be satisfied and we will move somewhere else then. I'll start a money topic in the admins forum again.

I'd be glad to help pay for any domain that's going on. Though registration is cheap now--$35 at cheapest I've seen.

i guess the domain itself isnt the problem. but i'd also be ready to pay for *the server*. afaik, it has to allow the php stuff and, MOST iMPORTANT, needs TONS of webspace (up to 500 mb i guess). this board and esspecially the download section eats loads of space, doesnt it, fquist?
not to forget the j2o messaging system and all the text (comments, articles). |

If anything happens to Nagcentral, LC's still got room for a board and such. I set up numerous boards there, nobody complained. Still, I'd need to gain Jeh's attn to make him create a separate login and pass...gah.
Oh well, I'm off to die and such...tests tomorrow. |

would be a pain to convert everything to .phtml and addslashes, but if we grow out of nagcentral, that would be fine..(we will grow out of nagcentral if we keep growing like this)

Cinemenium is not and never was hosted there.. Cinemenium's host sucked. I doubt I ever suggested it to you.. I think you mean another site..
