Pinging...grrrrr
Whenever I try to host, all people get is my server pinging forever.
I'm running on a 56k modem, connected straight to the wall, with Windows XP Home. |

While I agree that 56k isn't a great connection compared to high-speed, that is probably not the problem.
Check to see if your Windows XP firewall is activated. If it is, disable it. Also disable any other firewall software you may have. If that doesn't work, contact your ISP because it is a problem on their part.

I know it's not because I have a 56k. I used to host with a 33.6k modem, and it didn't ping forever.
