LMAT (August)
Let's Make A Tileset - August!
Finished Product (five months later). Ok, so I did make this after all. Whatever. Anyway, we're going to try again to make a tileset, only this time you can add as much as you want!!! Rules/Restrictions/Guidelines:
EDIT: There has recently been a complaint that there is no link in the first post. To rectify this, here is a link. Last edited by Violet CLM; Jan 4, 2006 at 02:26 PM. |

Are you saying that to submit tiles to the contest, we have to take the current tileset and draw our tiles in there?
Also.. I hope we don't have to stay within one theme, because what you posted reminds me awfully much of jungle. Some more originality would be good.. I'm thinking of adding some metallic parts or so for an interesting crossover..

I'll help with the masks, I like masking things.
Also, I'll be posting later today with some new tiles. I have a half started tileset that would fit nicely here. I just have to edit my tileset a bit so the connecting peices fit in the right places in this new tileset. `N0

3 words: Space Jungle Wasteland
Since no one posted any tiles yet:
I like the contrast. And the best part is, the stars can be optional.

I was going to make those 4 tiles fit in more, but then I gave up halfway.

That would make sense. I didn't specifically write that, but it's a good rule. Feel free to enforce it.

Fooruman is an important addition to the set and should be left in it ;p
|

I'm indifferent, since Fooruman or any other tile doesn't have to be used when this tileset is (hopefully) completed.
So there are several people eager to help with the masking (which is really a one person job), but what about some more tiles first?

How is the sword intended to fit in?

Hey Violet, what happens if I add all the tiles from last month's LMAT?
(this is going to be the weirdest decent tileset ever)

Cooba's Wonderful Contribution. v2.
Ok, this is a quick edit. I added the soil texture just to see how would it look with its newer version from July's LMA

I don't think we need the green stuff to be larger than one tile high. It just doesn't work well in my opinion.

I guess it adds more variety, but from looking at the tiles the way they're arranged in the tileset, I felt they would look monotonous stacked like that.

Would this be eligible, or did I edit the the sword in the rock too much? It started out just re-shading parts of Ae's tile and making it fit the green ground tiles, but I got carried away on the rock. The sword is still pretty much the same, though, and the plaque just had the left half raised a bit.

That "rocks," Radium.
Ahahaha But seriously, I like it. ;p |

Hey Radium, you should make tilesets again or something, because that rock/sword is awesome.

The trees now have FORCE-FIELD PROJECTING CYBERNETIC IMPLANTS! ...yes, I am aware that I shade differently then everybody else who has so far contributed. Deal with it D=
