Wait, so you hint that I'm wrong, then you agree with me? That's just vicious.

I wasn't hinting that you're wrong, but I was questioning you, since you say they're harder to make, yet I'm not sure weather you even make levels.

I have made a hotel back in the begining of 2007 (well these are easy to make [wait I think you helped me]), I do have an old crappy unfinished ctf level, a begining of another one, and some battle levels that are (-). I wanna make some new levels but I don't have the time.
And It's kinda common sense to think that making half a level then make the same thing on the other side is easier then making the whole level.

Nothing can be deemed a fact about this. It is a question of opinion, after all.
That's the entire point. @ Iconguy: Doing half a level and flipping it to do the other side is just... wrong. Avoid doing that, at least. |

QQ seems to be quite popular

No, I was referring to it being (much) more popular, of course.
Edit: sorry, I tend to mix finnish 'ways of saying things' into english, will try to change that. |

I hope you know that there are unsymetrical ctf levels, also, many symetrical ctf levels don't use symetrical eyecandy. Also, about your QQ argument, BBlair, and semi (probably the most played ctf levels, they're also unsymetrical) seem quite popular (although I hate them).

well there's a difference between mask-symmetry and placement-symmetry. E.g. semi and bblair have neither. Many levels have placement, but no mask symmetry, and then theres levels that have both (like KMC e.g.). Right now, i can't think of a case with placement-, but no mask-symmetry.

No, that's being lazy and/or inept at making symmetry.

Bleh, flipping the tiles can be useful at points in time, if you want to make some cool eyecandy effects, or whatever. But beware, it can get dangerous, if you know what I mean.

Take cover! The tree spam is coming.
And DS, that looks nice, it looked almost as nice when I last saw it. |
Jan 29, 2008, 02:55 PM | |
DS, you need a lot more variety in the plain "dirt" walls. There are a lot of areas where you're obviously using the same tile over and over, and there are two different variations of that, even besides anything else you could shove onto walls, and the edges look pretty sterile too. Other than that, pretty interesting.

DS can't let go of his style.

i have to take this as a compliment or not ?
*btw i already put away almost all tree's in the foreground so it don't gets annoying when ur playing
