Clans
Can anyone tell me what do you think about Clans?
-why are they useful? -what do you like about them? -what do they give you? -in what would you like to be(or in what are you)? -Do you like being clanless? Well IMO they're useful for trainings... I like that they have some friends of mine in the clans. They give me more skills through trainings and ladder matches... I'm in CraccoClan and I enjoy it there. And No I don't like when I don't have a clan... I enjoy to be in a clan =P... CC <3

Your threads rule.
I think clans in JJ2 are much different than "clans" in other games. It's just too serious here. For example, anyone can make a good clan in other games, while in JJ2 people ignore new clans because "every new clan sucks". As you say, clans are useful for trainings and they might promote teamwork, but some clans just take the whole idea too serious (NC for example). Maybe I'd enjoy being clanless if I would be unbeatable.

Meh, NC and all these other new clans just confuse me, so I don't pay much attention to them.. for me, the real clans are the ones that remain stable for ages, or at least contain players who are generally loyal and wouldn't switch to another clan within a couple of weeks.
Now let's have a lookout at the clans I do seem to reckon.. [si] - Props for keeping the tag for such a long time, even though the clan is just (semi-)idling. CC - The oldest clan. Containing a few elite players and a lot of newcomers.. haven't changed for years. VS - The clan of polish players who aren't total noobs.. although recently they've recruited many newcomers, which is acceptable in order to keep the clan alive, but most of them act like random TSF hotel players who just converted to CTF. id) - The newest cool clan. Containing the best of Finland and some other skilled players. Y - Mostly a bunch of childish players who got no respect to the oldies (also see: RL, CDF). \NF/ - They're cool. (just joking of course) I do have respect for you old players, but that doesn't mean I should bow to the ground to any player playing longer than I do

in answer to your questions..
'-why are they useful?' clans are useful because people will think you are somebody even though they have never seen you before. you get more people who want to play you. '-what do you like about them?' not much. '-what do they give you?' extra characters in your name. duh, what do you think they give you. '-in what would you like to be(or in what are you)?' I would like to be in mv clan and I am in mv clan, I like mv I'm real pleased with it. '-Do you like being clanless?' yes, I like to be clanless, to be clanless is good, but to be in the right clan is good too.

-why are they useful? They aren't.
-what do you like about them? I can't really think of anything at the moment. -what do they give you? Probably a small amount of fun, possibly some bragging rights, occasionally some sort of increase in your playing/levelmaking skill. And a clan tag. -in what would you like to be(or in what are you)? CT -Do you like being clanless? Yes. (note: not intended as a troll post) |

-why are they useful? To keep the comminuty running and active (well, mostly)
-what do you like about them? They keep competition going. -what do they give you? Whining (no offense), experience, new friends. And some tag. -in what would you like to be(or in what are you)? CDF - Where luck with recruiting happens. -Do you like being clanless? Um...I'm not clanless, but if I was still then now, I still would. (Yeah, sorry my clan but I honestly don't really care as much anymore...no one really wants to play with me in ladders that much anyway. I just joined because I wondered what a clan was like. But I simply stay because of someone and apparently I'm "something" to others.). Quote:
What he said. I think everyone deserves to pretty much be treated equally (unless they act stupid or think they're always smarter about everything just because they're older/played longer), reguardless of how long they've played. Last edited by Treylina; Oct 9, 2010 at 11:18 AM. |

[GpW] FTW ad infinitum! - is what I think of clans, Sir.
Why, without clans, who would wage flamewars? Individuals? You must be mad!

I love being clanless, I don't like to play games seriously (training, cw's, semi).
The thing I really don't like about clans is that they only play ctf and very little times domination/battle (excludes battle1). Also: clan fights are usually 2v2, 3v3 or not as common: 4v4. I'd much rather see more 4v4+ fights and other gamemodes (jailbreak, treasure, TLRS, etc), but well I guess other people don't like this.
