Looking good, but I don't like the fact that you're trying to steal Epic's copyrights. Did they give you permission anyway? You can't just take stuff without permission and try to sell it for your own profit. It'd be like remaking Super Mario Bros. 1 with revamped graphics and trying to get money for it

That was a topic of discussion for much of the first page and presumably after that. Do you have any specific questions or comments on things that were actually said?

It's okay, but it's funky. Anyway, I think Epic is convinced that because G.O.D. Games couldn't front the money [or didn't want to] for jj3, and because they couldn't find anybody else, that JJ3 is not happening. Stupid, if you ask me...

If Cliff really works for success, and not for passion, BUT REALLY loved people, he would morph Jazz into a shoot 'em up with a tough Jazz as main character.
PT32, I'm so sorry for you, but you should give up. Cliff is mighty, and you either play something else (than Jazz 3) or play not at all. I also have made an image about it. ![]()

Posts like these make me want to run for the hills screaming "AUGHAUGHAUGHAUGHAUHG".
Can you please just read the thread first to try and get an answer instead of just asking wildly? 11 pages is not that much. ![]()

Sounds good if you Epic allows you to do it. I haven't yet got a copy of real JJ3, so any kind of new Jazz game is welcome.
Because of all those problems with getting the source code of JJ2, I'm really planning to try to code a clone of JJ2 that could work as close like JJ2 as possible. But because of no knowledge about coding a game, this project will be big and might abanbone before the clone is ready. About the legality: The game will use the original files (levels, audio, episodes, tilesets... etc.) of JJ2 (retail), so the original game is needed, so everyone who wants to use the clone, must have a copy of original game and there shouldn't be any copyright fights because they loose nothing if/when I release the clone. |

Because I would prefer people to read and get an answer instead of asking blindly. For the record, the answer is no, and had you read back a mere one page even you would have gotten that answer. ._.

To be honest, I have a feeling that the password protection thing means that the rent for the site hasn't been paid for a while. It's a real shame - after saying that he'd announce that the project has died and they'd release all the material for it, then just disappearing. I was trying to do a bit of work for it, too, but he didn't reply to e-mails after a while, and then this happened. If that really is the end of this project, I'm sure there will be other opportunities, but I'll always be open to the possibility of this being revived sometime in the future.

Triple post and warez link
![]() I vote to keep the link here. It's totally worth it. Too little community members have ever tried JJ3.

IMO, talking about our wonderful 3D dream also gives hope.

I still have hope after someone (Violet I think?) posted that foreground trigger level.

Now this map i always thought perculiar. I suspect the Neo---> who uploaded it is NeoBeo. Why? when not in SP mode, both flags turn blue to avoid accidental captures. I have never seen another map of such. It was uplaoded FEb 26th 2009 so the project could still be go? http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/dow...p?levelID=5365 |
